Can anyone translate the song the actor is rehearsing? Where he can’t sing ‘gente’ right?
Studying this film and I know that ‘gente’ means people. Maybe the song is related to the characteristics of Italian Neo-Realism films? Democratic spirit and speaking about the people? etc.
Doesn’t he have a friend that can lend him a bike. And next time chain it to himself!
Simply the best movie that cinema has ever produced. SUBLIME.
I’m amazed that this movie doesn’t inspire other film students. Sometimes critics are right. This is one of the best ever.
Reality was made into portrayal into the cinema. Everything was the truth and the truth was about those people’s lives. Neo- realism should be one of the praised film theory due to its documenting method, in a way to document from one generation to another in which this method produces the greatest artifact about civilization and culture.
