Most importantly, do they come in different widths like Carnac shoes do? I have had SIDI shoes in the past and they were always too narrow and did not offer choice of width. Hopefully, they have changed.

I was reluctant at first to buy a pair until I tried my friends pair and LOVED them. Now if only I can wear my Sidis on long tours without the need to change out them every time I get off the bike.

Sidi makes great shoes however let’s make one thing clear: Pros will wear just about any brand as long as they get paid the right amount. So this should NOT be a quality indicative while reviewing a cycling shoe.
That being said, I would recommend Ergo Due, they are top of the line.

I find sidi’s to be overpriced and not durable, my sidi domninators have literally fallen apart and won’t be replaced by another pair of sidi’s.

Actually they aren’t, The Sidi Ergo Carbon 1′s are compatible if you buy the Adaptor plates (which I have done) the problem is after you bolt the Adaptor plates (same thinkness as a ‘LOOK’ Cleat) to the shoe and then add the SPD it adds approximately 8mm extra in height which means you need to put your saddle up. The Sid Ergo 2′s are NOT compatible with SPD’s as the Carbon Sole is moulded, on the Ergo 1′s the Carbon sole is removable.
