Some guy in the velo club has an S3. Wall-to-wall dura ace. That bike is sexy as hell.

I smoked him last saturday with my aluminum 2004 s-works.

Hi everyone. I´ve been doing a lot of running in the past but am starting to experience increasing pain in my knees and shins after longer runs, so I have been considering road bikes for a while. I wouldn´t be doing any races, but i plan on doing some serious training at least 2-3 times a week.

Would the S1 work as a first bike for me or would i be wasting money on things i don´t need?

S 2 in Ontario, Canada sells for $ 4.300 I just got the price 2 days ago. I am in love with 2010 Cervelo S 2 as it is white and looks so sharp but I am not sure if it is worth almost 5.000 dollars. But because I am addicted to it I will pay that much…

bout 4500 for the s1 here in nz, but thats still big bucks for me, so I got on a 07 team soloist-alluminum, for 1850 second hand, and it came upgraded, with slk carbon cranks, bontrager racexlite wheelset, slr saddle. So the point is, their bikes a really really good deals, just keep your eyes pealed

Well I just rode an 2009 S1. Just as Andy said. The bike is as described. Fast and stiff and it is a “killer bike for the money”. I also rode an Felt F4 with SRAM Red right after i rode the S1and the S1 was just as good as the Felt F4 carbon, other than the shifting. SRAM RED is awsome! So thanks to Andy’s review I have made a decision on a 2010 S1 frame that will be built with a Sram Red grouppo.
    Thanks Andy.

Agreed on all points. I’ve got the Soloist Carbon SLC-SL (S2 SL) and it’s the best bike I’ve ever ridden. I can’t get enough of this machine… Racing, triathlons, country rides, 160 mile one days, everything feels nice on this ride. Andy, thanks for your honest enthusiasm and proper assessment of the bikes. I don’t need to buy one — I own one!

    I love my R3….awesome on climbs and decents….very stiff, and I’m 6′ 2″ and over 220lbs.

Bike won a race..hmmm, but where was the rider..?! Aero stuff is mind shitting, in 80′s on Paris-Roubaix avg speed was the same as now’a days..

Its a shame the cervelo r3 doesnt fit me. My current custom 63cm frame has a 625mm top tube, and my next custom frame will have a 615mm top tube, so off the shelf frames are out of the question
