hmmm i wasn’t aware of that little tid-bit of starbucks history. To be honest, i’m not from the U.S. To us Starbucks is like the brand new, shiny commercial brand that unreasonably sells you a shot of coffee for $4. That’s very interesting to know that it actually goes way back! and by the way, i’ve had this song stuck in my head since last night.

although to be fair, starbucks is about as “vintage” as it gets, coffee-wise. they might not have much going for them in terms of ethics or character, but they do go way back…

i get what you’re saying (i’m not a fan of starbucks either), but i was trying to catch the meaning of “a coffee shop in a city which is every coffee shop in every city” — which i interpret as the things which are ubiquitous + boring everywhere you go — like starbucks.
still, i love knowing somebody cringes when they see that logo. should be a more common reaction!

what a GREAT music video! kudos, i could never do something so creative like this! one tip of unsolicited advice, though: i think for the “coffee shop” at the beginning you should have used a more local, vintage, unknown coffee shop name… instead of highlighting starbucks, no? either way, AWESOME vid!

the music is good, you’re right. but when she’s proud and strong enough to write about it in her songs, it’s absurd that people are arguing about it.

why is anyone even asking the question if she’s bi. have you even listened to half of her songs? “if it isn’t her” or “in or out” are GREAT examples. if ya can’t tell by that, listen to some interviews. ani has always been very forward and honest about herself. that’s what makes her so damn great.
