Attracting a pretty large crowd, the British Museum has been famous world wide for its excellent quality displays. It is a unique blend of human history and culture presented to you in the most enthralling way. An icon of the English land, everything about it creates awe - be it the libraries, Great Court building, restaurants, cafes, shops, or even the huge study rooms. The Paul Hamlyn Library and the departmental study rooms have a particular aura about themselves. The Great Court that emerged during the phase of 1975 to 2000 is one of the largest covered squares in Europe. Located at St Pancras, it is the best way to present any book collection. The Great Court has successfully made it possible for everyone to peruse the vast compilations of books. Similarly the Round Reading Room which was used before the Great Court was constructed is another piece of fine architecture. After more than two hundred years in existence, the British Museum is a wonderful example of a nature and art encyclopaedia in the flesh.
