What would a weekend in San Francisco be without a race? Includes the tunnel, lots of descending down killer hills, and "high tech weaving" through downtown traffic

New England Velodrome and Cycling Park. Opening Scratch race for the Bs. Entire 12 lap (x 318m) race. Cat 4 on the track (grandfathered in). My 8th race ever on the track, but I've been racing 26 years on the road. Max speed approx 33-34 mph. 14.8 second 200m time (slow, but I didn't jump until after the 200 meter line). Specialized trispoke front clincher, 32H Sun M17 tubular rear wheel on a Superbe Pro hub. Vittoria Rubino 23c front, Conti 19mm tire in rear. SPD-R pedals. Thomson seat post, Titanio saddle, Mavic crit bars (aluminum), generic tubular steel stem (14 cm), 51 cm frame. BMX chain. SRAM crankset (cheapest one). 50x15.

from cyclocosm.com http Only two stages in, and already the race is developing. Mark Cavendish poo-poos team time trial practice before riding to victory with his Highroad squad. Lance Armstrong also looks surprisingly sharp, though his squad will almost certainly switch sponsors before the end of the race. Stage 2 features a classic Giro stage, complete with lackadaisical riding, a crazy finishing circuit and a big sprint at the end. Mark Cavendish comes in with confidence, but may be in for a surprise in the closing meters.

this is the final thing left to do in cycling, the 6 stage race which i was surprised that i was doing better than i thought actually.
